I'm originally from the Midlands, I was born and raised in a small town called Lichfield, just north of Birmingham, though fortunately I escaped the Brummie accent. At 18 I left to go to University in the North, where I studied English Literature and Philosophy, got back into knitting, and took advantage of the cheap cinema by seeing at least two films a week. Since May 06 I have been living and working in Oxford. I conform to the Oxford stereotype by risking life and limb cycling to work every day, read anything and everything I can lay my hands on, and divide my weekends between Blackwell's bookshop and one or more of the four cinemas in Oxford. I have been knitting steadily since 2004 and my dearest wish is to one day open a knitting shop, as it is the only thing Oxford lacks.
